Southern Styled Shoot at Magnolia Plantation

I'm always so thankful when amazing wedding professionals get together and create something that's not only beautiful but realistic for my clients!  This Southern shoot in Charleston at Magnolia Plantation did not disappoint.  Dusty blue accents, gorgeous florals, meaningful traditions and the most gorgeous plantation setting made the perfect day.  Magnolia Plantation is located on the banks of the Ashley River and is the epitome of Southern Charm.

Details are everything.  The boutonnieres with the dusty blue ribbon, the pale blue heels and the his and hers vow books with gorgeous dusty blue silk ribbon.  (vow books can be purchased here)

The custom invitation suite I designed features all script for a truly romantic look, complete with dusty blue envelopes, a vintage floral envelope liner and hand torn silk ribbon in a beautiful dusty blue.

One of the southern traditions celebrated at the shoot was burying a bottle of Bourbon at the ceremony site. The tradition states that if you bury a bottle of bourbon at the wedding site it won’t rain on your wedding day. True believers say you must do it exactly one month before the wedding, the bottle must be full and buried upside down. Then on the day of the wedding, you dig it up and share a glass with the wedding party after the ceremony.  How fun is that!?

The Savannah Wedding Invitation Suite

The Savannah Wedding Invitation Suite was inspired by beautiful Southern weddings.  Think sweeping trees blowing in the wind, beautiful florals, vintage details; classic and charming.  This semi-custom invitation suite features a simple wreath and beautiful script font digitally printed using a gold metallic ink.  The die-cut shape and vintage floral envelope liner really bring this invitation suite to life.  Tied together with a beautiful pale peach silk ribbon.

Winter Styled Shoot at Ridgeland Mansion - Philadelphia

I had the honor of being included in this beautiful Winter styled photoshoot at Ridgeland Mansion back in December and I'm so excited to share it with y'all!  Ridgeland Mansion is such a beautiful setting on 5 acres in historic West Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.  The photos by Whimsical Imagery by Amberlee are just stunning, as I am sure you will agree!

The stationery I designed was soft and romantic.  Grey and white invitations with a hand torn edge were tied together with soft crinkle chiffon and a bronze wax seal.  The envelopes were adorned with vintage peony envelope liners (my favorite!).  I carried the soft watercolor strokes from the enclosure cards across to the menus and table numbers to create a cohesive look.  It came together beautifully.  One of my favorite elements was creating the calligraphy vows, writing down vows is so romantic and a piece of artwork that the couple can display in their home for years to come.
